Leme went 3-for-4, delivering the high-marked ride when it counted most in the championship round. Winning at the Garden, a temple for sports, has always a special meaning.

“It’s my first time winning in Madison Square Garden and my first win of the season,” Leme said. “I’m so happy to be healthy again. I thank the Lord for allowing me to do what l love and be here in New York with these great fans supporting us.”

He rose from 5th to 2nd when he converted aboard Bad Decisions (TNT Bucking Bulls/Hart Cattle Co.) for 86.5 points in Round 2. Leme was stopped by Choc Tease (Cord McCoy/BuzzBallz LLC/McCoy Rodeo) in the third round – tossed to the dirt after just 3.25 seconds. He picked Cliff Hanger (Cord McCoy/Pioneer Bulls/McCoy Rodeo) for the championship round. The cowboy remained in perfect time with the bull, reaching the requisite 8 for an amazing 92-point score.
