Salerno, a cute town in Italy’s Campania region

In the Middle Ages, this town was an independent Lombard municipality and it became the site of the first medical school in the world. Today, it is an important cultural center in Southern Italy, known for its picturesque Christmas decorations in the Wintertime and for its animated Summer life.
