                       One of the greatest works of #engineering and #architecture ever: the Roman #Colosseum, the world-famous oval amphitheater built of concrete and sand from 72 A.D to 80 A.D..
Also known as Amphitheatrum Flavium, it was used for gladiatorial contests, animal hunts, executions, dramas, and other public spectacles.
